    In close cooperation with our providers, we protect the corresponding databases of Heimat Manufaktur AG against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification with the high level of care customary in the business. The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. However, if a data subject wishes to make use of special services offered by Heimat Manufaktur AG via our website, it may be necessary to process personal data. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for such processing, we obtain the consent of the data subject (see also under “Consent”).
    We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps despite the high security requirements we have created. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

    Data protection and data security obligations of the data subject

    As the (natural) person concerned, it is in your personal interest to secure the system(s) you use (PC, laptop, etc.) against unauthorised access by third parties, to provide it with adequate password protection and not to pass on the password to third parties, and to install and also update virus protection (“Internet Security”) as indicated on the market.

    Collection of general data and information

    The website of the Heimat Manufaktur AG (homepage/website) collects a series of general data and information when a data subject or automated system calls up the website. This general data and information is stored in the server log files. The following data may be collected: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer), (4) the sub-websites which are accessed via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the website, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system and (8) other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems. When using these general data and information, the Heimat Manufaktur AG does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimize the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. Therefore, the Heimat Manufaktur AG analyzes anonymously collected data and information statistically, with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our enterprise, and to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by a data subject.

    Definitions

    The data protection declaration of the Heimat Manufaktur AG is based on the terms used by the European legislator for the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and on the terminology used by the Swiss legislator for the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our privacy policy should be easy to read and understand for the public as well as for our customers, business partners and other stakeholders and job applicants. To ensure this, we explain the terms used. You can find these terms under the link Definitions below.

    Cookies – use and deletion

    Internet pages, including those of Heimat Manufaktur AG, sometimes use so- called cookies for optimized presentation and greater user-friendliness. In addition, cookies are used in certain areas of our websites in order to better understand your interests and thus to be able to provide you with a customized web offering. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

    Access data/server log files and product placements/advertising

    The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so- called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

    • Browser type and version;
    • operating system used;
    • Referrer URL (the previously visited page);
    • Host name of the accessing computer or IP address and the requesting provider;
    • Date and time of the server request;
    • Volume of data transferred;
    • Message about successful retrieval.
    This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A combination of this data with other data sources is not made. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use. We use the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offer. As well as to determine needs and individually adapt the content. Personal data is created if consent is given or if this is permitted by law. We also reserve the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use on the basis of concrete indications.

    The data collected may be used for statistical analysis or for the targeted placement of content on the website for the data subject.

    Contact us/Contact form

    When contacting the provider (for example, via contact form or e-mail), the user’s details are stored for the purpose of processing the request and in the event that follow-up questions arise. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

    Newsletter order, data and revocation

    With the newsletter we inform you about us and our offers and information. If you would like to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter (so- called confirmation email in the “double opt-in procedure”). Further data will not be collected. This data is only used for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. With the registration for the newsletter we store your IP address and the date of registration. This storage serves solely as evidence in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorized person. The click behaviour in the newsletter is recorded and automatically analysed for statistical purposes and for the individual adaptation of the contents. You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time. The revocation can be made via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by sending a message to the contact options above (see also special notes on “Right of revocation” in the Data Protection Info-Sheet).

    Newsletter tracking (tracking pixel)

    Newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in emails that are sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns to be carried out. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, the Heimat Manufaktur AG may see if and when an e-mail was opened by a data subject, and which links in the e-mail were called up by data subjects. Such personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and analysed by the controller in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch and to better adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the data subject. This personal data will not be disclosed to third parties; nor will it be used for any other purposes outside those indicated above. If the data subject withdraws their consent, the controller will erase this personal data. The Heimat Manufaktur AG automatically regards a withdrawal from the receipt of the newsletter as a revocation. It thereby unilaterally initiates the above measures.

    Data protection in applications and in the application procedure pixel)

    The controller collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of managing the application procedure. The processing may also take place by electronic means. This is in particular the case when an applicant submits the relevant application documents to the controller by electronic means, for example by e-mail with pdf files or other file types as attachments via a web form located on the website. If the data controller concludes an employment contract with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored at Heimat Manufaktur AG for the purpose of processing the employment relationship, in compliance with the statutory provisions and to ensure access for unauthorized employees and third parties. If the controller does not conclude an employment contract with the applicant as a data subject, the application files shall be deleted automatically and without further notice to the applicant 6 months after the notification of the rejection decision, provided that no other legitimate interests of the controller prevent such deletion. Other legitimate interests in this sense are, for example, obligations to provide evidence in proceedings under the Equal Treatment Act (CH GlG).

    Registration function

    The data entered within the scope of a registration will be used for the purpose of using the offer. Users may be informed by e-mail about information relevant to the offer or registration, such as changes to the scope of the offer or technical circumstances. The collected data can be seen from the input mask during registration. This includes e.g. name, postal address, e-mail address, IP address and their purpose.

    Social media buttons

    Functions (plug-ins) from third-party providers or social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.) are integrated on Heimat Manufaktur AG websites. These plug-ins enable the user to share content in the aforementioned social networks. The buttons are deactivated by default when the website is accessed. This means that no personal data is transmitted to the respective third-party providers without the user’s intervention. Once the user has activated the buttons, the plug-ins automatically transmit data, including personal data, to the relevant third-party provider. If the user is logged into the network of the respective third-party provider at the same time as visiting the website, the provider can assign the visit to the user’s network account. Heimat Manufaktur AG has no influence on this. The purpose and scope of this data collection and the further processing and use of personal data are set out in the data protection notices of the respective social networks. Users also receive information there on rights and setting options with regard to the protection of privacy. Privacy policy for the use of Facebook plugins (Like button) Plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our pages. SSL encryption

    This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

    Integration of services and contents of third parties

    Despite the great care taken by Heimat Manufaktur AG, it cannot be ruled out that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, may be integrated within the online offers of Heimat Manufaktur AG. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) are aware of the IP address of the user. The IP address forms a necessary basis so that the third- party providers can send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective third-party providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on whether the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we will inform users of this.

    Objection to advertising mails

    The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and information material not expressly requested is hereby prohibited.
